The difference between going into and coming out of commercial

I just turned on the television and saw a channel bumper for the Scream digital channel — you know, one of those screens where they display the logo and a disclaimer just before and just after each commercial break. For some reason, my brain decided on the basis of no evidence whatsoever that they were coming out of commercial instead of going in, which would mean that a horror/thriller movie was about to be joined in progress. So imagine my shock when the first thing that appeared on screen was an olde-timey photo of the Schneiders factory.

Canadian sausage: it takes all kinds o’ critters to make Farmer J.M.’s fritters.
