Overall, thumbs up to the first episode of the new season, imperfect as it was. The directing drew too much attention to itself, and Connor made too many stupid mistakes for someone we saw grow as a character during Season 1. But it's still dumb fun, still entertaining enough to watch.

And kudos to the marketing boffins, which I hardly ever, ever say; but credit where it's due, and for possibly the first time ever, getting information in advance actually enhanced the surprise at the end. If I hadn't known about the cast changes for Season 2, I probably would have guessed what was coming, but instead I went barking up the wrong tree entirely. Yay!
