Warriors of the Dialogue

I've just been listening to the audio-only version of the Doctor Who episode Warriors of the Deep. It's been interesting to listen to the episode without seeing it; without the terrible visuals as a distraction, it becomes a lot easier to tell how terrible the dialogue and acting is. Poor, poor people. There should have been another way.

"Doctor, I've no reason to trust you! Now tell me why I shouldn't just have you shot right now!"

"Commander, let me help you deal with the Myrka."

"Very well. But I can't spare anyone to help you, you'll have to do it on your own!"

"I'll need someone in authority to help me get things done."

"Very well, I'll send Lieutenant Preston with you. But I'm not going to pay you for this!"

"It's going to cost you 25,000 pounds sterling."

"Very well."

"And I'll need you to take off your pants."

Heller would be proud, or burst out crying was the previous entry in this blog.

I think this line's mostly filler is the next entry in this blog.
